Export Points (R3EXPORTPOINTS)¶
Command: R3EXPORTPOINTS
Available in: AutoCAD, Civil 3D
Exports selected AutoCAD DBPoints to a CSV file. Each point is auto-numbered starting at 1, with coordinates and an optional code.
Usage¶
- Type
R3EXPORTPOINTS - Select points in the drawing (window, crossing, or pick)
- Choose the code source:

| Layer (default) | Uses the point's layer name as the code |
| Text | Finds a text entity (DBText or MText) at the same coordinate as the point and uses its content as the code |
- Choose a file location in the Save dialog (defaults to
<drawingname>_points.csv)

Text matching¶
When Text mode is selected, R3Survey scans all DBText and MText entities in model space and matches them to points by coordinate. A text entity is considered a match if its insertion point is within 1 mm of the point location. If no text is found at a point, the code is left blank.
